Our Services
Recovering from a car accident doesn’t have to be overwhelming.
Our ICBC Active Rehab program is designed to be simple, supportive, and effective. With clear guidance and easy-to-follow exercises, we help you move better, feel better, and get back to your life. Whether you’re new to fitness or already active, we tailor each session to your injury, pace, and goals — all in a friendly, one-on-one environment.
With over 10 years of experience and 1,500 sessions delivered in the last two years alone, we know how to support your recovery. There’s no waitlist — your first assessment can often happen the next day. Sessions are available downtown, at home, or online. Clients pay Kineticare directly at the time of service, and ICBC-covered sessions are eligible for reimbursement. Just show up, follow a simple plan, and start feeling the difference.
ICBC has approved you for 12 Sessions.
ICBC provides 12 pre-approved kinesiology (active rehabilitation) sessions within the first 12 weeks following an accident. Once the initial sessions are completed or if 12 weeks have lapsed since the accident, the kinesiologist can request further sessions with a treatment plan for approval from ICBC.
All sessions are 45 minutes long, and the emphasis is on active participation to restore mobility, strength, and function. We teach you how to exercise to maintain your fitness levels and mitigate injury pain symptoms.

FAQs:
Being in a car accident can turn everything upside down, and it’s normal to have questions about what comes next. We’ve put together some simple answers below to help you understand the process.
How do I start my active rehab with ICBC?
Provide your ICBC claim number to initiate the process:
Email or text +1 (604) 653 5980
What should I expect during a session?
During your session, your Kinesiologist will guide you through individualized exercises designed to improve posture, joint mobility, and muscular strength. Active rehabilitation supports recovery by enhancing circulation, promoting tissue healing, and building stability around injured areas. Our approach emphasizes working within your current functional limits to prevent aggravation. If an exercise causes discomfort, we’ll modify it to ensure safe, progressive strengthening without pain.
Are there any additional costs?
Clients are responsible for payment at the time of service. For ICBC-covered sessions, you’ll receive a receipt to submit for reimbursement. Appointments at the Sheraton Wall Centre include a $10 + GST facility fee per visit, paid directly to Kineticare.
Home visits do not have any additional fees.
What is the difference between a kinesiologist and a physiotherapist?
Physiotherapists diagnose physical injuries and treat symptoms such as swelling, pain, and lack of motion. Once these symptoms have lessened, kinesiologists provide sessions focused on active rehabilitation to build endurance, strength, and flexibility. Kinesiologists will also educate the client on exercises to be done after they no longer work with the client.
How soon after a motor vehicle accident can I start treatment with a kinesiologist?
It’s advisable to begin active rehabilitation as soon as possible to maximize recovery. ICBC pre-approves 12 sessions within the first 12 weeks post-accident.
What should I bring to my first session?
Comfortable workout attire, your ICBC claim number, and any relevant medical documents, although this should be sent to Diogo by email before the session.
Do I need a doctor's referral to start active rehabilitation?
No, a doctor’s referral is not required to begin your pre-approved sessions with a kinesiologist.
What happens if I need more than 12 sessions?
If additional sessions are necessary beyond the pre-approved 12, your kinesiologist can request further approval from ICBC.
